Welcome to my website

I am a Senior Lecturer in International Relations at the University of Kent.

My work explores the relationship between popular culture and world politics, especially the way it shapes our understanding of past events and potential futures. I have studied this relationship across case studies on conspiracy theory, social media, sport, the horror genre, and populist security practices, connecting each with how we make sense of the world around us and our place in it. I am particularly interested in the way visual culture runs across these subject areas, bringing international politics together with everyday experience. All my projects are grounded in my own lived experiences, which are embodied, creative, and international.

This website catalogues my past and ongoing projects, as well as other aspects of my academic practices. Thanks for visiting and please get in touch if you would like further information about my work or help with one of your projects.
